The school history

  • 1972 the school is established- it starts as a small school with only nine classes.
  • 1986 the school moves from the building on Thalmannova street into the present building on Marie Majerová street in Ostrava-Poruba
  • 1989 the school is heavily reorganized in terms of education
  • 1990-1991 the first prima class is opened
  • 1996 the first form of a distance study is set up
  • 1996 the school is named after Olga Havlová
  • 1997 is incorporated into the Association of UNESCO associated schools
  • 2009 it becomes the faculty school of Ostrava University
