Spanish language

The aim of the subject is to acquire language means and functions, to enlarge vocabulary, to extend students´ ability to communicate in everyday situations, and also to acquire basic skills leading to further use of the language. Spanish is taught during the whole period of study, lessons are 45 minutes long and take place in specialized language rooms, mostly in small groups.

The aim is to reach the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) language levels: B1 for junior students, B2 for senior students.

We work with the following textbooks: Aventura 1,2,3, Nuevo VEN 1 and Nuevo VEN 2, including workbooks and CD recordings.

Our aim is to make students understood that by learning Spanish they also learn about the culture, history and life of Spanish speaking countries. That is why we include Spanish speaker recordings, videos, films, teaching programmes, and various topical materials in our lessons. Lessons are occasionally run by native speakers, too.

Our students take part in competitions every year achieving very good results.
